Susanne Herold Elected to the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina

Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Susanne Herold, a renowned lung and infection researcher from Giessen and ILH/DZL scientist, has been elected to the prestigious Leopoldina – German National Academy of Sciences. The Leopoldina, founded in 1652, is the oldest scientific and medical academy in Germany.

Excellence, Responsibility, and Community – The DZL Annual Meeting 2025 in Heidelberg

From June 30 to July 2, 2025, the DZL community gathered at the Heidelberg site TLRC for the 13th DZL Annual Meeting. With around 730 participants and the largest poster session in DZL history, the Meeting set new standards and sent a strong signal for scientific excellence, responsibility, and a powerful sense of community.
